The integration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud was born out of the desire to drive adoption of the newly released Lead Ads product at Pinterest. The team consisted of an EM, 2 engineers, PMM, and data. I led design and content and the sole designer flexing in to help the team. The project timeline was about 2 to 4 weeks from kickoff to launch.
Pinterest launched Lead Ads in 2023, which allow advertisers to collect lead data through the use of a specific type of ad format. The package needed to be build using an I-frame that lived directly within the Salesforce ecosystem and would require users to authenticate for both parties. Ultimately, the app needed to process Pinterest lead data into Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
